Sun & Moon Theatre

A Midsummer Night’s Dream (2019)

‘The course of true love never did run smooth’

It’s 1999 and Theseus is producing a Millennium-themed festival, and Peter Quince, a ‘serious’ director, is keen to submit his ‘edgy’, ‘arthouse’ short film adaptation of Pyramus and Thisbe. With the new millennium fast approaching, the fairies make their appearance in the forest. Pandemonium ensues as they encounter the inept film crew on their 48-hour challenge, as well as the Gen-X lovers escaping from reality, confronted by love potions and years of pent-up resentments. Sun & Moon Theatre will delight you with this vibrant, irreverent and magical production of Shakespeare’s most popular comedy.
